Bordeaux has several distinct options for an adult night out: 113 Avenue in Eysines, Le Candy in the Chartrons area and Sauna Métropole in northern Bordeaux. This guide separates venues supported by current official information from historical addresses and places still needing confirmation. L’Odyssée is recorded as closed; BB Club remains uncertain. Choose by the session, audience and journey home rather than an old “best clubs” ranking.

113 Avenue: club and sauna in Eysines

113 Avenue is in Eysines, outside Bordeaux’s municipal boundary but within its metropolitan area. Its official website publishes separate club and sauna spaces, opening information, events and contact details. That distinction matters: a sauna visit and a late club evening are different experiences, even when they share an address.

For a visitor staying in central Bordeaux, include the outward and return journeys in your decision. If you are approaching from the western side of the metropolitan area, Eysines may be more convenient than crossing the centre. Confirm the entrance conditions for your chosen session directly; a couple’s evening is not automatically open to every visitor category.

Le Candy: a naturist and libertine sauna in Bordeaux

Le Candy is on rue Poyenne in the Chartrons area. Its official information describes a mixed naturist and libertine sauna and publishes facilities, prices and opening arrangements. It is a city option worth comparing if you would rather organise dinner, a first meeting and a sauna visit within Bordeaux.

In this context, the French word libertin refers to an adult, consensual setting, not an ordinary wellness spa. Likewise, “naturist” does not tell you which interactions are expected or permitted. Read the venue’s own description and explain that it is your first visit if you need guidance about changing, towels, lockers or etiquette.

Sauna Métropole: another northern Bordeaux option

Sauna Métropole, impasse Cabrière, publishes contact information, sessions and facilities including a sauna, hammam, jacuzzi and bar. It broadens the guide beyond the two names repeated in many older lists. Compare its actual programme with Le Candy rather than treating every sauna as interchangeable.

Ask what is included in the entry price and whether the session suits your situation. Being a solo visitor, a couple or a group can affect admission arrangements. We do not reproduce a fixed price here because a dated official price list is more useful than a number that may change before your visit.

L’Odyssée: a historical address, not a current recommendation

L’Odyssée remains visible in older guides and searches for Bordeaux nightlife. The current website devoted to the venue says that it closed in 2023. We retain the name so that you can reconcile an old recommendation with the present guide, but it should not be included in an itinerary of active clubs.

The former address was cours Anatole France. Historical photographs or descriptions do not establish that the same experience is available there today. When an address is marked closed in our source table, use the active alternatives instead of relying on an undated directory entry.

BB Club: a lead that still needs confirmation

BB Club continues to appear in secondary listings at rue Francis Garnier. Those listings point to an official website that returned an error during the October review. That is insufficient to classify the venue as officially verified active, and also insufficient on its own to declare it closed.

Its status therefore stays uncertain. Before making a special journey, obtain direct confirmation of the current address, opening time and event. Container 69 and Le QG de Monbadon also appear in older or secondary material; this guide does not turn those mentions into operating recommendations.

Meeting someone before entering a club

A café or restaurant can provide a neutral first meeting with a person or couple you have met online. Ordinary Bordeaux bars are not automatically swingers’ venues, and the people around you have not agreed to participate in your plans. Keep the first conversation comfortable, discuss expectations and decide together whether to continue.

For couples, agree on boundaries before the evening: observing, flirting, staying together and leaving are all legitimate choices. You can pay for admission and still decide that the atmosphere is not right for you. Keep enough money and an independent way to return to your accommodation.

English-speaking visitors: what to ask

An English-language guide does not mean the venue offers English-speaking staff. If needed, send a short enquiry in advance. Useful French terms include couples, hommes seuls for solo men, mixte for mixed sessions and tenue exigée for dress requirements. Ask about the precise event instead of interpreting a label as universal admission.

Check phone restrictions, reservations, accepted payment methods and the final entry time. These practical questions are more valuable than promises of a busy room, guaranteed discretion or a particular outcome, none of which our source checks establish.

What about the Gironde coast?

Bordeaux’s wider region includes coastal and naturist destinations, but the coast is a separate trip. Naturism means social nudity under the rules of the site; it is not an invitation to sexual activity. Consult the naturism guide and local information before travelling. For broader context, see our France guide.

FAQ: planning an adult night out in Bordeaux

Which venues have current official sources?

113 Avenue, Le Candy and Sauna Métropole were supported by official information in the 7 October 2026 review. Consult the dated source table and check the day’s programme.

Is L’Odyssée still open?

The current historical website reports closure in 2023. We keep it as a historical reference, not an active recommendation.

Does an unavailable BB Club website prove closure?

No. Its status remains uncertain until stronger current evidence is available. Contact the venue before making plans.

Does verification guarantee a good or busy evening?

No. It establishes the source and information available at the review date, not attendance, compatibility or a guaranteed encounter.
