Madintouch, ten years of honest testing on libertine dating sites. Our story (since 2016), our team, our transparency commitments.
Libertinism: what if we chose to love in complete freedom?
Freedom of expression, of movement, of thought, of loving, of sexuality, of action, of opinion, of worship, of conscience, individual freedom, free will… In this modern society shaped by constraints, fenced in by laws, prohibitions, censorship and taboos, human beings are thirsty for freedoms.
Our story: from On Se Touche to Madintouch
Before Madintouch, there was On Se Touche. In 2013, two unlikely friends — David, Israeli, and Mohamed, Palestinian gay — launched a YouTube prank channel as part of the bande à Gazouille. Provocative, funny, no filter. The press quickly nicknamed them « the sex terrorists », a reference to their increasingly bold erotic pranks.
The channel was censored in 2015 due to overly edgy pranks — even though much worse is said in mainstream songs. Frustrated by this injustice, David and Mohamed decided to keep their work going differently: in January 2016, they launched Madintouch, an online magazine that would speak without hypocrisy about libertinism, sexuality and free love.
They soon surrounded themselves with Alicia, doctor of French literature, determined to give libertinism the literary place and the elegance it deserves. Alicia gradually took over the editorial direction and became the main face of the site.
Our editorial independence
Madintouch is self-funded through two openly declared sources:
- Affiliation — when you sign up for a recommended site through one of our links, we earn a small commission. This never changes our editorial verdict.
- Mad2Moi — the dating app we co-created in 2021. It's the only platform we recommend without neutrality, and we say so. For everything else, we evaluate everyone with the same grid.
We refuse undisclosed sponsored content. The few sponsored articles are clearly marked at the top and bottom of the page.
The team
- Alicia Walker — Doctor of French literature, main writer and editorial director.
- Jules Caylar — Sex coach, signs the practical guides and the couple communication section.
- David & Mohamed — Historic founders, behind Madintouch since 2016. Less editorially active today, they remain in the background of the project.
How we work
Our test methodology is public. In summary:
- Full registration to the tested site, with plausible photo and bio
- At least 30 days of active use
- Systematic screenshots of key steps (UX, pricing, account deletion)
- Structured verdict on 6 axes: pricing, community, profile quality, app, support, account deletion
- Annual retest of major sites (Wyylde, AdultFriendFinder, Alt.com…)
