Privacy Policy
How Madintouch handles technical data, consent, analytics, newsletter data, affiliate click measurement and GDPR rights.

1. Data controller
Madintouch is operated by the publisher identified in the Legal notice. Privacy contact: madintouch@gmail.com.
2. Data that may be processed
- necessary technical data: server logs, IP address, browser, operating system, request date/time;
- consent data stored locally to remember your analytics choice;
- audience measurement data after consent via Google Analytics 4 and Meta Pixel;
- data you send voluntarily when contacting Madintouch;
- newsletter data: email address, language, source page and subscription date.
3. Analytics and consent
Google Analytics 4 and Meta Pixel are loaded only after acceptance. If analytics consent is refused, these third-party tools are not loaded. IP anonymisation is enabled for Google Analytics, but that does not make every third-party datum legally anonymous.
Madintouch first-party measurement: after analytics consent, Madintouch may also record on its own server the visited page, traffic source, country supplied by the delivery network, device type, selected outbound clicks and engagement indicators. The raw IP address is not stored in this analytics database: it is used to produce a pseudonymous HMAC fingerprint for visitor and session counting. These first-party analytics data are retained for no more than 400 days.
Consent measurement: Madintouch may count banner displays and accept/decline choices in aggregate in order to assess analytics coverage. These counters contain no visitor identifier and are not used to reconstruct browsing before consent.
4. Affiliate links
Some outbound links are affiliate links. After analytics consent, certain affiliate clicks may be measured to evaluate editorial and commercial performance. If consent is refused, this behavioural measurement is not sent. The links themselves continue to work.
5. Newsletter
Newsletter signup is optional and relies on an unchecked consent box. The subscriber database stores email address, source page, form language and signup date. The IP address is not kept in the subscriber database; it may be used temporarily to create a technical anti-abuse fingerprint. You may request deletion or unsubscribe by emailing madintouch@gmail.com.
6. Third-party services
- Hetzner Online GmbH — hosting;
- Cloudflare — distribution, security and network protection;
- Google Analytics 4 — analytics after consent;
- Meta Pixel — marketing measurement after consent;
- partner or affiliate platforms when you voluntarily follow an external link.
Processing performed after you leave Madintouch is also governed by the third party's own policy.
7. Purposes
Purposes include operating and securing the site, measuring audience and improving content after consent, measuring selected commercial clicks after consent, managing requested newsletter subscriptions, answering requests and preventing abuse.
8. Retention
Data is retained only for a period proportionate to its purpose. Third-party providers may apply their own retention periods. Newsletter data is kept until it is no longer useful for that purpose or until deletion/unsubscription is requested, subject to legal obligations.
9. Your rights
Under the GDPR and applicable French data-protection law, you may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and withdrawal of consent where applicable. Contact: madintouch@gmail.com.
10. Changing analytics consent
Your analytics choice is stored in your browser. Use the site's cookie-management control to change it, or clear this site's local browser data to display the consent request again.
11. Security
Madintouch applies technical and organisational measures appropriate to an editorial website. No Internet system can guarantee zero risk.
12. Changes
This policy may change with infrastructure, analytics tools or regulation. The current update date appears above.
