Stripchat Review 2026: token costs, private show prices, safety and refunds

Stripchat is one of the biggest adult live cam platforms: getting in is free, and anything personal is paid for in tokens. On the evening of 12 October 2026 we counted 9,783 live shows running at once, and most private shows cost between 8 and 24 tokens a minute. It’s a rich, well-built platform — as long as you walk in with a budget in mind and auto top-up switched off.

Is Stripchat really free?

Free to explore, not free to get close. Opening an account costs nothing, and the home page was even advertising a “50 free tokens to win” draw. You can browse public shows, use the filters and join the chat without paying a cent.

Everything personal uses tokens: a tip to a model, a private show, spying on a private, a Cam2Cam video call or certain messages. So the real question isn’t “is it free?” but how much will the way you actually use it cost?

• private messages to other users (free of charge, according to the terms);
• the free-token draw, when it’s running.

What you pay for

• tips;
• private, group and ticket shows;
• spying on a private show;
• Cam2Cam video calls;
• some messages to models: they can set a token price, which is charged even if they don’t reply.

How do Stripchat tokens work?

Tokens are the in-site currency: you buy them, then spend them. Stripchat’s terms spell out three things worth knowing before your first purchase:

• tokens are paid before use, by credit or debit card or another available payment method;
• their price can change, notably with limited-time promotional offers;
• auto top-up exists: if you turn it on, Stripchat charges your last payment method for the same amount as your last purchase whenever your balance drops below a threshold. You can switch it off at any time in Settings.

How much does a Stripchat token cost?

We don’t publish a table of token packages, on purpose. The price list only appears once you’re logged in, and the sites that copy it give figures that contradict each other. Rather than a wrong table, here’s the habit that actually helps: at checkout, divide the package price by the number of tokens. That gives you the real price of one token — and so of one minute of private show.

Do Stripchat tokens expire?

The terms don’t set a simple expiry date, but they do something that matters just as much: an inactive account can be closed by Stripchat, and any remaining tokens are then lost. In practice, don’t stock up on a big package “for later”.

How much does a private show cost on Stripchat?

Each model sets her own rate, shown in tokens per minute. Stripchat’s public filters let you see how many online models sit in each price band. Here’s what they showed on 12 October 2026 at 7:30 pm Paris time:

Do the maths in tokens before you go in: 10 minutes at 8 tokens is 80 tokens; at 24 tokens, 240; at 60 tokens, 600. Then multiply by the price of one token from your package. It’s the only way to know what you’re really spending.

Two things to keep in mind: tips during a show come on top, and spying is billed separately. If a session is drifting past your budget, ending it is always your call.

Getting started on Stripchat, step by step

1. Create a free account with a dedicated email address and a unique password. You don’t need tokens to start.
2. Browse the public shows and try the filters: language, category and, above all, private show price band.
3. Watch a few rooms before spending anything. Read each model’s room rules.
4. Decide your budget in money for the session, then buy the smallest package that covers it.
5. Open your Settings and make sure auto top-up is off.
6. Check your purchase history after the session, so nothing surprises you on your statement.

What kinds of shows does Stripchat offer?

The terms and the public filters describe several ways to interact. The figures in brackets are the number of online models offering each option when we recorded.

A common-sense point: paying never obliges a model to accept a request. Read her room rules before suggesting anything.

Can you get a refund on Stripchat tokens?

Rarely — and it’s better to know that before you buy. Section 8 of the terms says:

• a refund is possible, at Stripchat’s discretion, if a technical fault charges your tokens, or if a private show is clearly unsatisfactory (in that case, end it as quickly as possible);
• tips are never refunded, because they’re treated as gifts, and neither is spying on a private;
• there’s no refund at all if your account is closed for breaking the terms.

Is Stripchat legit and safe?

It isn’t a scam: it’s a large, established platform with an identified operator and detailed public terms. “Safe” covers several things, though, and they’re worth separating.
