Short answer: Frimake is a French app for group outings with new friends, and the basics are free: joining, hosting and chatting cost nothing. The VIP and GOLD packs are paid. On the UK App Store, one month costs £13.49 (VIP) or £15.99 (GOLD). Frimake's FAQ quotes €6.99 and €9.99 a month on its website, without saying for how long. To stop paying, cancel where you paid: in the app for a card payment on the website, with Apple or Google Play otherwise.
Frimake calls itself “the app for going out IRL”: padel, drinks, hiking, cinema, board games… You spot an activity near you, sign up and go. Or you post your own. Think of a French cousin of Meetup, built around small, one-off plans rather than long-standing groups.
This page compares Frimake's public statements (website, FAQ, code of conduct and terms) with its store listings. It is not based on a test account, on attending outings or on measuring local activity. So we publish no score, no average member age and no city ranking.
How much do Frimake's packs cost in the UK?
The Basic Pack is free for life, according to the FAQ. VIP and GOLD can be paid three ways: by card on Frimake's website, as an in-app purchase on iPhone (Apple) or on Android (Google Play). The price depends on the channel and the length you pick. We checked the UK stores.

Monthly equivalent = total price divided by the number of months, rounded to the penny. The website prices are in euros: the FAQ calls them Frimake's own rates and says Apple and Google add their handling fees on top. It does not say which commitment length €6.99 and €9.99 refer to. In Ireland, the App Store charges €16.49 (VIP) and €19.49 (GOLD) for one month.
- Welcome offer: new members get one free month of VIP, then the account switches back to Basic automatically. The FAQ says this costs nothing.
- Renewal: according to the terms, a paid pack renews automatically for the same length (month, quarter, half-year or year), at the price then in force.
- Refunds: the terms and FAQ rule out refunds for a period already started.
Separately, Frimake Pay lets a host collect payment for places in advance. The terms add booking fees on top of the host's price; their own example is a €20 activity shown at €22.

What do Basic, VIP and GOLD each include?
The full pack table is only visible inside the app (menu, then “Manage my Pack”). Several FAQ pages still name specific options. Here is what they document, and nothing more.

The FAQ adds that the team picks the “featured” activities and highlights, among others, GOLD members. Nothing says this is automatic. For any other option, check the table in the app before paying.

Where do you cancel a Frimake subscription?
These are the conditions stated by Frimake in its terms and FAQ. The right place depends on how you paid.

- Timing: cancel before the renewal date. Otherwise, the terms say the subscription renews in full, with no refund.
- An email is not enough: the FAQ says members must cancel themselves.
- After cancelling: you keep the pack until the end of the period, then the account goes back to Basic.
- Cooling-off period: the terms state that by subscribing, members agree the service starts at once and waive the 14-day withdrawal period.

Is Frimake available in the UK, Ireland or the US?
Frimake was founded in Toulouse and remains a French app first. In October 2025, when it announced a €10 million funding round, it was live in five French-speaking countries: France, Belgium, Luxembourg, Switzerland and Canada. Its homepage now claims “7 countries live” without naming them.
What we observed on 21 October 2026: the app is listed on the UK and Irish App Stores, with no ratings in either. It is missing from the US App Store. The French listing shows around 1,000 ratings. Google Play shows more than 100,000 downloads worldwide, with no country breakdown; whether it can be installed in a given country cannot be checked from the web page.
Ratings on one store do not measure active members, Android users or what is planned in a city. So the honest advice is simple: before paying for anything in London, Manchester or Dublin, open your city's calendar in the app, which is free. Frimake clearly fits if you live in France, or have just moved to Paris, Lyon or Geneva. The app interface is available in English; much of the help content, including the FAQ, is still in French.

How does Frimake work, according to its own presentation?
The “Concept” page describes six steps: discover activities around you, post your own, chat with participants in the app, take part, build connections, then enjoy a social life “away from endless scrolling”.
Frimake's motto is #CestPasTinderIci (“this is not Tinder”): the platform is about friendship and says it runs without ads. The app is on the App Store, Google Play and Huawei AppGallery. Unlike sexy dating apps, its stated goal is not dating.
The publisher named in the terms is Frimake International SAS, registered in Toulouse, France. The site footer mentions activity “since 2019”.

What rules apply when you create an outing?
The code of conduct is long and precise. Among the commitments asked of every member:
- post an activity only once, and only on Frimake;
- no external links (payment, groups…) without the team's approval;
- do not invite participants to move to WhatsApp, Discord, Messenger or a Facebook group;
- no more than 10 participants for a recurring activity in a non-partner venue;
- show up when you have signed up (#TuTinscrisTuViens) and rate the host or participants within 48 hours;
- do not use the messaging to collect contact details for private dates.
Hosts stay free to accept or decline anyone, without giving a reason, and can set an age range for their activity. If you like running things your own way, read the code before your first post: the frame is much tighter than a casual group chat.

How does Frimake moderate content and accounts?
The terms describe after-the-fact moderation: the platform may refuse a post without giving a reason, and remove or edit content without prior notice. Members can report an activity or a profile; the FAQ says reports are anonymous and that an algorithm already filters out “most” unwanted activities.
Attendance matters a lot. After 3 unjustified no-shows, the account is automatically suspended for 7 days. Warning the host in the chat is not enough: only unregistering in time avoids the no-show. The terms also allow suspending an account with at least 10 reviews averaging 2 or less.
Nothing in these pages tells you how often posts are refused, or which formats are most often removed.

How do the community figures hold up?
The homepage claims 1 million members, 15,000 activities a week and 61% women. The “Our History” page speaks of “more than 800,000 Frimakers”. These are the operator's own statements, with no published method, and the two pages do not match.
None of these pages gives the number of active members per city, the average age or the volume of outings near you. The most reliable check is to open your city's calendar in the app, for free, before paying for anything.

How does the fritag referral work?
Every member has a @fritag, a unique handle. According to the Referrals page, the new member enters it at sign-up; once their account is activated, both receive 500 popularity points and automatically become friends. The referrer gets the GOLD Pack for a year at 25 referrals, and for life at 50.
On the pages we checked, popularity points are presented neither as a discount on a pack nor as money. According to the FAQ, they reflect how involved you are: attending, hosting, referring.

What this review cannot tell you
The official pages describe rules and prices. They say nothing about the real atmosphere at outings, how friendly members are or how easy it is to make friends. We did not measure the average age, compare cities or count refused outings. Any claim of that kind about Frimake, here or elsewhere, deserves caution if it cites no source.

Mostly, according to its FAQ: sign-up, joining activities, creating them and messaging are free with the Basic Pack. VIP and GOLD add comfort options.
How much do VIP and GOLD cost in the UK?
On the UK App Store on 21 October 2026, one month costs £13.49 for VIP and £15.99 for GOLD; one year costs £70.99 or £101.99. Frimake's website quotes €6.99 and €9.99 a month without stating the commitment length.
How do I cancel a Frimake subscription?
It depends on how you paid. After a card payment on the website: in the app, “Manage my Pack”, then “Cancel my Pack”. After an iPhone or Android purchase: in your Apple or Google Play account, under Subscriptions. Either way, before the renewal date; an email is not enough, according to the FAQ.
Does deleting my Frimake account stop the subscription?
Not always. According to the terms, deleting the account ends a card subscription, but not an Apple or Google in-app purchase: that one you must cancel yourself with Apple or Google. No period already started is refunded.
Can I use Frimake in London or New York?
In London, you can download it. On 21 October 2026 the UK App Store listing had no ratings, which says nothing certain about local activity: open the London calendar in the app before paying. In New York, not on iPhone: the app is not on the US App Store. Availability on Google Play cannot be checked country by country.
Do referral points lower the price of a pack?
The pages we checked do not say so: the 500 points are popularity points, presented neither as a discount nor as money. The free GOLD Pack depends on the number of referrals (25 for a year, 50 for life), not on points.
Can I add a referrer after signing up?
No, according to Frimake's FAQ: the referrer's @fritag must be entered at sign-up and cannot be added later.
Is Frimake adults only?
No. The terms set a minimum age of 16, or emancipated. Buying a paid pack requires being of legal age.
